Privacy policy

Effective date: 2026-10-20

This Privacy Policy explains how Charlotte Home Projects ("Charlotte Home Projects," "we," "us") collects, uses, and shares information when you use charlottehomeprojects.com. Charlotte Home Projects is operated by Christopher Lee (Teaneck, New Jersey). Charlotte Home Projects is a referral service: we connect homeowners with independent contractors. We are not a contractor.

Information we collect

  • Information you give us: your name, phone number, email address, project ZIP code, the type of project, your timeline, and any project details you type into our forms.
  • Consent records: when you submit a request we record the consent language shown to you, its version, the date and time, your IP address, your browser user agent, and the page you submitted from. We keep this as proof of your consent.
  • Marketing attribution: the page you landed on, the referring website, and campaign tags in the link you clicked (for example UTM parameters or Google Ads click IDs such as gclid).
  • Usage data: if analytics is enabled, Google Analytics collects device, browser, and page-view information using cookies or similar technology.

How we use information

  • To review your request and match you with up to 3 independent contractors who serve your area and project type.
  • To contact you by phone, text message, and email about your request, as you authorized on the form.
  • To measure which pages and ads produce requests, prevent spam and fraud, and improve the site.
  • To comply with law and keep records of consent.

Phone calls and call tracking

The phone number on this site is a call-tracking number provided by our call-tracking service (CallRail). Calls may be recorded for quality and training. When you call, we connect you with independent local contractors who may be able to help with your project. We do not perform the work ourselves. For each call we and our provider log the calling number, the date, time and length of the call, the recording, and how you found us (for example the referring website, landing page, ad click or search keywords). A small script from our provider runs on this site and may set cookies to make that attribution possible. If you call us, we use this information to handle your request, to measure which pages and ads work, and to keep records. You can ask us to delete call records or to stop contacting you through our privacy request form.

How we share information

We share the information you submit with the contractors we match you with. This is the core of our service. Matched contractors receive your name, contact details, ZIP code, and project details so they can contact you and provide an estimate. Contractors may pay us a fee for each referral. Because contractors pay for referrals, this sharing may be considered a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information under some state privacy laws. Contractors use your information under their own privacy practices once they receive it.

We also share information with service providers who help us run the site (such as hosting, form storage, analytics, and call or text tools), with authorities when required by law, and with a successor if the business is sold or reorganized. We do not sell your information to data brokers or unrelated marketers.

Your choices, including "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information"

You can ask us at any time to stop sharing your information with additional contractors, to stop contacting you, to access or delete the information we hold, or to correct it. Use our contact & privacy request form and choose the request type (access, delete, or correct my data, or stop contacting me), including the phone number or email you used. Residents of California and of other states with consumer privacy laws (for example Colorado, Connecticut, Oregon, Texas, Virginia, Tennessee, and others) may have specific rights to know, access, delete, correct, and opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information and of targeted advertising. We honor these requests for everyone, regardless of state, and we will not discriminate against you for using them. You may use an authorized agent. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request. We honor Global Privacy Control browser signals as an opt-out of sale/sharing for the browser that sends them.

To stop text messages, reply STOP to any text. To stop calls, tell the caller or submit a stop contacting me / opt-out request. Opting out of contact with us does not automatically stop a contractor who already received your request; please tell that contractor directly as well, or ask us to pass your request along.

Retention

We keep request and consent records for as long as needed to provide the service and to meet legal and record-keeping obligations (consent records are generally kept for at least five years), and then delete or de-identify them.

Security

We store requests in access-controlled cloud storage and limit access to people who need it. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure.

Children

This site is meant for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Changes and contact

We may update this policy and will change the effective date when we do. Questions or requests: our contact form.
